The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £32,958 to £39,324 per annum plus £2,623 London Weighting Allowance per annum

This post will be Fixed Term for 18 months.

This is a Full-time post.   

The Department of Twin Research (DTR), King’s College London, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Scientific Liaison, Engagement and Communication Manager to engage and enthuse our large cohort of twin research volunteers and to communicate our research discoveries to a diverse audience. The Department is based at St. Thomas’ Hospital but has close links with Divisional and other Research Departments within King’s as well as outside Research Organisations such as the Wellcome Trust.

The post holder will be required to work closely with the Executive Director as well as other managerial staff and teams. She/he will focus on increasing engagement of research volunteers and improving the volunteer experience through PPI (patient and public involvement), as well as disseminating the results and successes of the DTR to external audiences. The role will cross over all areas of the Department’s work, including media and public relations, digital communications, social media and publications and research.
