We are looking to appoint an exceptional person to join the expanding Research Funding Team within the Joint Research and Enterprise Services (JRES).

The JRES provides a specialist research and enterprise service to both St George’s, University of London (SGUL) and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SGFT). Uniquely placed across two organisations, the JRES’s remit covers research governance, grants, contracts, financial management, enterprise, consultancy and strategy. Recently organised into three sections – Research Governance & Delivery, Research Funding, and Enterprise & Innovation – the JRES plays a vital and pro-active role in enabling research and enterprise, working with funding bodies, NHS organisations and others to support academics and clinicians at St George’s.

The post-holder is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, invoice, costing and journal approvals and management of five Research Funding Officers supporting SGUL and SGFT grant funding. The post-holder will ensure research funding policies and procedures are enforced for the transparent delivery of Research finances and to provide an excellent service to academics and clinicians. Advising on research funding opportunities and costing grant applications to facilitating robust financial management of awarded research grants.
