The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £32,958 per annum, plus £2,623 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be a Fixed Term Contract for 1 year

Full time (35 hours per week)

The main objective of this European Regional Development Funding (ERDF)-supported position is development of a novel immune therapy-based approach for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. This project is a collaboration between King’s College London and LiFT BioSciences, funded by MedCity an initiative by the Mayor of London and three Academic Health Science Centres in London. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

The isolation of lymphocytes and their fractionation to isolate, culture, expand and manipulate populations of cells with selective cytolytic activity against cancer cells in general and against pancreatic tumour cells in particular.  It is anticipated that the outlined initial studies, if successful, will culminate in the eventual development of this novel form of immune therapy for the treatment of pancreatic cancer.    

The selection process will include competency-based questions, and a panel interview. Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing: 26 June 2017
