The salary will be paid at Grade 5, £31,883 to £36,422 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) is the national system for assessing the quality and impact of UK university research across all disciplines.  It determines block-grant (QR) funding to the sector of over £1.6billion per year.

King’s College London is recruiting a REF Policy Officer to work with the REF Delivery Director to support all aspects of the planning and management of the arrangements for REF. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and implementation of policy and procedures, preparations for and follow up to the Research Excellence Framework and will work proactively with a wide range of senior colleagues across the Research Management and Innovation Directorate, professional services and academic staff on matters relating to research and research policy.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, good verbal reasoning and writing skills. Experience of working within higher education is essential, and familiarity with research management and the Research Excellence Framework would be desirable.
