Applications are invited for a highly motivated postdoctoral Research Associate, funded by the Centre for Applied Research and Outreach in Language Education (CAROLE) within the Department of Literature, Language and Theatre, Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Humanities at the University of Greenwich, London, UK.

The successful candidate should have a PhD in Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Cognitive Science, or a relevant field, and have a strong background in Bilingualism/Second Language Acquisition research. S/he should be familiar with psycholinguistic research methods with evidence of previous research using various online data elicitation methods. In particular, we are interested in applicants who have extensive experience with online measure techniques. For example, EEG and Eye-trackers. Applicants with a strong background in Speech and Spoken Word Recognition are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be working with Dr Xin Wang (X.Wang@gre.ac.uk) and a team of researchers in the field of Second Language Acquisition and will provide assistance as part of the new CAROLE NOLTA Lab. S/he will assist in technical training to use Eye-tracker and EEG systems and will be involved in writing grant proposals. Teaching for our current postgraduate provision and Structured PhD in Applied Linguistics may also be required, as needed.
