The Property & Facilities Department (PAF) is responsible for providing a safe and efficient working environment for all City staff and students. PAF manages all building services and the strategic development of the estate contributing to the delivery of City’s strategic and operational objectives.


Porters are responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of general Portering and related services to City.

Person Specification

  • Able to carry out general lifting and cleaning duties (movement of furniture, parcel, boxes using trolleys/barrows as required, lifting mop buckets etc)
  • Able to occasionally work at heights & use a ladder
  • Able to follow clear instructions and keep accurate records of deliveries
  • Able to work additional hours on overtime basis, including some weekends, on a voluntary basis.
