City seeks to recruit a Junior AV Technician to join its dynamic AV Team of 12 technicians that form part of its Information Services Department.
The post holder will provide technical support, diagnosis and problem solving on audio visual equipment throughout the university. Additionally they will be supporting all audio visual related services and facilities for all university matters, events and conference support, equipment loan/administration, procurement and media/production services. As part of media support the post holder will film, photograph and edit for University events and for education/research activities.
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and possess an understanding of AV/IT. They will present a good level of analytical and problem solving skills. Organizational, planning and prioritising skills are also required. Excellent customer services skills, including the ability to deal with contacts both within and outside the institution are also expected from the post holder. To fullfil the requirements attention to detail, accuracy in recording and updating system information is also required as well as being proactive.
