The Information Assurance Team is responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection law at City, University of London.
The role holder will support the team in handling and responding to freedom of information and subject access requests. They will work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop information asset registers and carry out Data Protection Impact Assessments. They will also be involved in reviewing and updating policies and developing and delivering training.
The role holder will be educated to degree level with good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing data protection, freedom of information and records management and demonstrable experience of working in the field.
The role holder will be skilled in interpreting complex legislation and communicating it effectively to staff at all levels. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills and demonstrate patience and persistent in order to understand and resolve complex queries.
