The appointment will be on UCL Grade 5.

The post holder will be a member of the School Finance team, providing accounting support to the School Finance team including assistance with the collation of regular reports and preparing journals. The post holder will also provide administrative support across the team and to the Director of Finance (Academic). The post holder will report to the Management Accountant for Vice Provost Health, and will also work closely with other members of the team.

Whilst the work will primarily be focussed in the above areas, the post holder is expected to be flexible in providing support elsewhere in the School. They will undertake a variety of duties in a busy office environment, working independently whilst exercising judgement to prioritise tasks in order to meet the deadlines set.

The appointment is a secondment funded until 04/11/19.

Redeployment candidates must have approval from their line manager before applying.

The post holder will ideally be interested in embarking on an accountancy qualification (or have begun), with excellent interpersonal skills. A good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office software is essential. The post holder should be organised, efficient, flexible, and supportive with good time management skills. This role will require excellent people and communication skills and will need to work well within a team.
