This is an exciting opportunity to join the team running a high quality PET/CT and PET/MR service at the Kings College London and Guys and St Thomas’ PET Centres based at St Thomas’ Hospital and at the Guy’s Cancer Centre. The appointee should be eligible to hold an ARSAC certificate for the clinical service and research certificates, rotating with Colleagues. The post-holder will be a member of two MDTs and develop expertise in myeloma/lymphoma and upper gastro-intestinal tumour imaging. The appointee will assist with teaching of visiting postgraduate doctors, staff groups within the PET Centre and contribute to teaching within the Division of Imaging including the MSc in Nuclear Medicine. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to research within the department and encouraged to develop their own research interests. 

The post-holder will attend and present at academic meetings, and contribute to the internal and external visibility of the departments. The appointee will interact with the clinical team, other key PET Centre staff and academic colleagues in the Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering. The post will be based at the newly opened Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital and the St Thomas’ PET Centre. 

The salary will be paid at the Clinical Consultant Grade, £76,001 to £102,465 per annum, plus £2,162 per annum London Allowance. 

This post will be based on a full time, indefinite contract. 

The selection process will include competency based questions, a presentation and a panel interview. Interviews are scheduled to be held in June 2017
