The Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication (CLCC) comprises four main strands of activities: the cross-College Imperial Horizons programme for undergraduates (consisting of three fields: Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Change Makers), two MSc programmes in Science Communication, and a thriving evening class programme open to all. Additionally, the CLCC provides modern foreign language programme strands for Year Abroad/Year-in-Europe (YA/YiE) degrees, Language for Science (LfS) degrees and Language Pairs.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the CLCC administration team. In collaboration with CLCC teaching, academic and administrative staff, the post-holder will create, maintain, and develop interactive e-learning materials as well as implement, support and co-ordinate the delivery of these to support the Centre’s commitment to the innovative delivery of its education programmes.

Duties and responsibilities

You will work with academic and teaching staff to analyse, identify and support the programmes’ e-learning needs.

You will design and implement e-learning technologies and interactive multimedia resources most suited to the curriculum of the Centre’s varied educational programmes in line with Imperial’s Learning and Teaching Strategy;

You will design, regular operation and review of a suitable learning analytics system and report on generated data to inform strategic decision making within the CLCC.

Essential requirements

  • A degree in a relevant subject area
  • Proven experience of working in a Higher Education environment in a VLE support role
  • Demonstrable engagement with up to date practice and research in all aspects of HE teaching/learning
