Brunel University London is seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer (Education) for its Social Work Programme, based within the College of Health and Life Sciences.

With modern, purpose built teaching and research facilities set within a vibrant campus based University, Brunel University London provides excellent opportunities to work with internationally recognised academics across the College in other disciplines such as Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Health Economics, and Psychology.

Applicants will contribute to the delivery and on going development of a high quality Social Work programme. You will also be required to support students in practice, visiting them whilst on placement to ensure the achievement of the Social Work standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to develop their educational skills and be part of an innovative and supportive programme focusing on the educational needs of its students.

The successful applicant will have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area, an appropriate professional qualification in a relevant discipline, and must be a registered Social Worker with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) or international equivalent. Experience of teaching at UG / PG levels or, equivalent experience of training in the workplace is desirable; as are presentation skills and the ability to address large audiences clearly and effectively. In addition, you will need to be able to co-ordinate and prioritise a range of activities effectively.

An essential requirement is for the successful applicant to satisfy the requirements of checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
