Salary range £30,770 – £34,960 per annum (All appointments will normally be made at the bottom of the salary range).

Imperial College Business School has ambitious plans for the future that include increasing the number of postgraduate students and enhancing the student experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, customer-orientated administrator to join the team responsible for admissions to our postgraduate programmes, with specific focus on MSc Programmes.

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for prospective students from initial enquiry through to enrolment. The post is a key point of liaison for applicants, academic staff, other Business School teams, and College departments so you’ll need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with a wide variety of people, ranging from prospective students to senior academic staff. Strong written communication skills and accuracy are very important as you will be responsible for responding to a high volume of email enquiries in a timely fashion.

You will have day to day responsibility for assessing new applications in line with programme selection criteria, and will ensure a rapid turnaround of applications, so the ability to work quickly and methodically to meet deadlines is essential. You will also be expected to build up a detailed understanding of your programme(s) in order to play a key role in developing admissions policies and procedures.

With excellent attention to detail, you should have strong IT skills including experience of preparing and sending mail merges, using spreadsheets and databases, and creating statistical reports.

You will need to have previous experience of working within Higher Education in a customer-focused environment, preferably within an admissions team.
