Purpose and Main Duties

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Administrator to work closely with academic and other administrative staff in supporting the activities of the School of Science.

You will be the first point of contact for staff, students, and members of the public.

The successful candidate will have daily contact with a diverse range of students, College and academic staff and will be responsible for dealing with and resolving a wide range of queries.

In addition the successful candidate will support recruitment and admissions processes for our programmes, create and maintain student records, help maintain the programmes prospectus pages and provide administrative support for committees and events.

Candidate Requirements

You will be experienced in providing high quality customer service and will possess strong communication and excellent organisational and IT skills. You will also be a team player with relevant administrative experience, preferably in a higher education environment. You will have a flexible, positive and proactive approach and strong interpersonal skills.

Experience of university admissions processes and/or of office management will be an advantage.

Salary: Grade 4 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £25,236 rising to £28,633 per annum.

This post is full time, 35 hours per week (1 FTE) and open-ended. The salary quoted above is on the College’s London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
