Imperial College London is seeking an Accelerator Marketing and Operational Coordinator for the Cleantech Start-up Accelerator programme, which takes good ideas and exceptional teams with high impact potential to an investable proposition, providing specialised coaching and support grants to achieve this. In addition, the accelerator programme offers postgraduates at Imperial internships, projects and employment with the start-ups. This position is funded by the European Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community (Climate-KIC) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

You will be responsible for the successful marketing of the accelerator programme, attracting promising teams for enrolment, as well as developing the accelerator community, including investors, academics and entrepreneurs. The post-holder will also be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Accelerator programme, and coordinating postgraduate opportunities in start-up projects, internships and employment. The post-holder will work closely with the London Climate Accelerator Lead and Innovation Director at the Grantham Institute to develop and run these activities.

Working with the Climate-KIC Finance and Administration Officer, the post-holder will ensure College, KIC and ERDF procedures are followed for the commitment of funding to start-ups and programme activities. This will include keeping accurate records of all agreements, assessments, approvals, and payments.

You must be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, with relevant academic/vocational qualifications with some work experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience. Experience of running marketing campaigns across online, email, social networks and offline media is required, along with experience of producing clear and concise material in written and tabular form. Experience of working in a customer focused office environment, and with stakeholders from a variety of sectors, is essential. You must also demonstrate experience of administrative work with a variety of staff at all levels, including the organisation of meetings and events. You must demonstrable an interest in climate change. You will have strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as a willingness to learn new systems and develop simple web sites. A proven ability work under pressure and to tight deadlines will be needed, as well as flexibility and a capacity to prioritize your own work according to changing external demands.
