Job offer in Ireland Technical Officer at University College Dublin
The School of Chemistry at University College Dublin wishes to appoint a Technical Officer.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at the School of Chemistry in the O’Brien Centre for Science on the Belfield Campus. The School of Chemistry is a significant contributor to the suite of science-based undergraduate degrees offered at UCD. In addition, the School currently offers five Honours Degree BSc programmes: the traditional BSc in Chemistry*; a BSc in Medicinal Chemistry & Chemical Biology* (commenced 2006); a BSc in Chemistry with Sustainable and Environmental Chemistry (commenced 2012); a BSc in Chemistry with Biophysical Chemistry (commenced 2012); and a BSc in Chemistry & Maths Education (commenced 2013) (*accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry). These programmes have a range of practical classes and activities in organic, medicinal, inorganic and physical chemistry in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd years and the successful candidate will contribute to the organisation, setup and operation of these busy state-of-the-art undergraduate laboratories.
95 Technical Officer 2013 Salary Scale: €37,697 – €50,046 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
