Candidates should have completed a postgraduate degree in Modern Irish or a cognate discipline and have significant experience of teaching at university level.
The appointee will participate effectively in the teaching and administration of the School’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The appointee will also arrange, monitor and supervise work experience placements and undertake administrative tasks as designated by the Head of Modern Irish and Stiúrthóir na Teanglainne, on behalf of the Head of School, and play an active part in the life of the School. The candidate will organise outreach events / seminars for the wider public and promote the courses and government-funded initiatives to provide graduates with Advanced Irish Language Skills and to enhance Irish language scholarship in the De Bhaldraithe Centre for Irish Language Scholarship.
Fixed salary: €33,363 per annum
