University College Dublin – School of Philosophy

Temporary 10 month post – commencing 1 Sept. 2017

The School of Philosophy at University College Dublin seeks to appoint a temporary teaching and research fellow in Philosophy. The duration of the appointment is 10 months, beginning 1 September 2017 and ending 30 June 2018. See ‘Job Description’ for details of modules to be taught.

The School seeks to appoint a scholar who has fully completed a PhD in Philosophy or Social / Political Theory, and who is actively engaged in research and publication. The teaching and research fellow is expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School, organising workshops and research seminars.

Important Note:  
As part of the application process, applicants are requested to a submit one-page syllabus for the module ‘Critical Theory’ and another one-page syllabus for the module ‘Political Philosophy’.  NB. Both submissions should be submitted as one merged PDF file.

Fixed Salary: €38,000 per annum
