Job offer in Ireland Senior Lecturer Above the Bar in Nursing at National University of Ireland, Galway

The School of Nursing and Midwifery wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Nursing.  The successful applicant will hold a Ph.D in nursing or a cognate field, be a registered general nurse or eligible for such registration, have relevant prior teaching and clinical experience, evidence of leadership, and a record of relevant research and publication. 

The School of Nursing and Midwifery has an international reputation for high quality teaching and research.  The successful candidate will play a prominent role in furthering the teaching, research and scholarship agenda of the School of Nursing and Midwifery.  Duties will include teaching, supervising, examining and other appropriate contributions to the broader scholarship activities of the School of Nursing and Midwifery.  They will also be expected to participate in the normal administrative work of the School.

The successful candidate will have a research track record in a field of relevance to nursing or midwifery education or practice.  They will have a track record in generating research funding and publication and will be expected to play a prominent role in meeting the School’s research agenda.

Salary: Senior Lecturer level

€68,420 p.a. to €95,893 p.a.

(This appointment will be made on Senior Lecturer scale in line with current Government pay policy)

(For pre 1995 public sector entrants in Ireland, the D class Salary rates will apply)
