Job offer in Ireland Research Scientist at University College Dublin
School: UCD School of Civil Engineering
Applications are invited for a Research Scientist in the UCD School of Civil Engineering. This is a temporary post.
The decision making regarding the climate proofing of regulatory frameworks and water infrastructure currently lacks a strong evidence base. The successful applicant will also be required to play a lead role in the collection of field data (including marine data) necessary for the calibration and validation of models. This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
The role will involve publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students, along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience
