Job offer in Ireland Research Fellow at Stranmillis University College
(Fixed term until 30 June 2021, with possibility of extension/permanency, subject to review)
The University College launched its Centre for Research in Educational Underachievement in June 2018. Its core aim is to engage in a focused portfolio of innovative interdisciplinary research into educational underachievement with a particular focus on Northern Ireland. The Centre seeks to build on many years of innovative teaching and learning, robust research and scholarship, and effective community partnerships by cohering our efforts to address one of the most significant and complex societal challenges.
The role holder will work closely with the Director of Research and Scholarship. The main purpose of this role is to help enhance and develop the existing research environment to support a range of research and project development activities, and support academic and research staff in developing their research techniques.
A key aspect of the role will be to identify relevant research opportunities, lead the development of external funding bids and if successful in securing funding, acting as a principal investigator or co-investigator to oversee research projects to conclusion and produce reports that influence practice.

Hours: 36.5 per week
