Job offer in Ireland Oral History and Public Engagement Officer (Belfast) at The University of Manchester
We are looking for Oral History & Public Engagement Officers in Belfast to join NHS at 70: The Story of Our Lives – a national programme of work supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund to preserve NHS heritage and build on its 70th anniversary in 2018 by collecting stories and memorabilia from a diverse range of communities.
Your role will be to deliver the oral histories collection in the locality, organise community events and contribute to the evaluation process.
You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent oral history and communication skills. You will have proven experience of engaging and motivating people, and be comfortable interacting with all levels of the community to build networks. You will be able to use your initiative to solve problems and effectively prioritise your workload.
You must have excellent knowledge of the locality and be willing to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.

This is a part-time, fixed term positions (0.60FTE for 9 months).
