The Open University in Ireland is seeking to recruit to the post of Manager, Quality, Training and Development. 

You will contribute to the development of the Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) service within Student Recruitment and Support, Ireland (SRSI) in collaboration with the Assistant Director, Student Success, the Senior Manager, Student Success, the Educational Advisors and where appropriate, academic staff and peers across the faculty SRSCs to promote student retention, progression and satisfaction. 

Through positive working relationships with other SRSI managers, you will facilitate the realisation of SRSI’s training and development requirements through mutually-agreed plans, ensuring skills and knowledge are up-to-date for all SRSI staff using IAG, to optimise the student experience and success. 

You will focus on managing all aspects of training and development for the team, to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all services in SRSI. They will ensure that all training interventions delivered by the Training & Development Team across the Faculty Student Recruitment & Support Centres (SRSCs) in England, including non-Trainer led development activity, is delivered to the team in Ireland. 

You will also provide ongoing leadership and support to colleagues in the recruitment and support teams to help students and prospective students make study choices which lead to successful progression, qualification completion and customer satisfaction. 

This is a dynamic and diverse position which will enable the role holder to master a broad and desirable skills set which encompasses effective planning, delivering results and successfully managing relationships.
