Job offer in Ireland Lectureship in Nursing at University College Cork
Specific Purpose Whole Time Post
(anticipated duration of 1 year)
The School of Nursing and Midwifery, UCC wishes to appoint to the above post. The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching, assessment and programme development and administration at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as engage in research relevant to general nursing.
The ideal candidate will hold a professional nursing qualification or hold relevant discipline qualification(s), which would enable him/her to carry out the functions of the post. If a candidate holds a nursing qualification s/he must be registered (or be eligible to register) on the register held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland. Applicants will be expected to have an academic qualification to Masters level.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery was established in 1994 and since then a wide range of programmes have been developed at both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. In addition, the School has a growing suite of Continuing Professional Development modules supporting life-long learning. Since 2012, the School has actively engaged in international recruitment and now has a growing body of international students. The School now has over 1,200 students and is one of the largest in the University. The School is committed to excellence and leadership in teaching, practice and research involving close collaborative relationships with health service providers, and national and international educators and researchers.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €33,481- €59,132,547/€64,627- €83,096 per annum
In all instances, the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
