Job offer in Ireland Lectureship in Nursing (Advanced Nurse Practitioner) at University College Cork

Specific Purpose Whole Time Post

(anticipated duration of 12 months)

UCC wishes to appoint one Lecturer in Nursing (Advanced Nurse Practitioner).  The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching, assessment and programme development and administration at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as engage in research relevant to nursing. 

The successful appointee will hold a professional nursing qualification, have held or hold a registration (or be eligible to register) as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland. Applicants will be expected to have an academic qualification to PhD/Doctorate level and have considerable clinical experience in an acute care setting.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery was established in 1994 and since then a wide range of programmes have been developed at both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. In addition, the School has a growing suite of Continuing Professional Development modules supporting life-long learning.  Since 2012, the School has actively engaged in international recruitment and now has a growing body of international students. The School now has over 1,200 students and is one of the largest in the University. The School is committed to excellence and leadership in teaching, practice and research involving close collaborative relationships with health service providers, and national and international educators and researchers.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship (above bar) Salary Scale: €64,627- €83,096 per annum. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
