Job offer in Ireland Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Planning and Environmental Law at University College Dublin

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Planning and Environmental Law within UCD Sutherland School of Law.
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant field, a commitment to research and international publication, an ability to teach at University level and to engage in graduate supervision, a capacity to engage in interdisciplinary teaching/research and to develop legal education in the planning/property/environmental field within the School, and excellent interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and research in the broad area of planning and (international, European and national) environmental and property law and policy. The post-holder will contribute to teaching at undergraduate level (the BCL and BBL degrees) and at graduate level. The appointed candidate will also be expected to contribute to research supervision at Masters level. In line with UCD Sutherland School of Law’s recognition of the fundamental importance of interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research, the successful candidate will be expected to liaise closely with other relevant Schools.
95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (2010) Salary Scale: €52,848 – €83,090 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guideline.
