Job offer in Ireland Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Archaeology, School of Archaeology, UCD College of Social Sciences and Law (Permanent) at University College Dublin

Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Archaeology post within School of Archaeology.

UCD School of Archaeology seeks to appoint a Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Archaeology to support the strategic ambitions of the School. The successful candidate will contribute to sustaining and developing the School’s undergraduate and Master’s-level programmes, with a particular focus on attracting international students. The post-holder will support and develop the School’s research activities. They will contribute to the day to day running of the School.

For an undefined period, the recommended candidate will also have a special responsibility in delivering School of Archaeology modules in the Beijing Dublin International College (BDIC) a collaboration between UCD and Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). BDIC is a new world-class institution of higher education that has a particular focus on the formation of graduates with the creative, innovation and entrepreneurial skills to thrive in an increasingly globalised knowledge- and technology-intensive society. The School of Archaeology delivers a first-year module on Irish Cultural Heritage which all BDIC students take as a core module, current class size is c. 300 students.

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor Above The Bar Salary Scale: €52,848 – €83,090 per annum.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
