We are recruiting for a Data Analyst who will be located in Development and Alumni Relations Office and will require strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, transform, analyse, and load large data sets exceeding 200,000 records with attention to detail and accuracy. The successful candidate will play a key role in the maintenance and delivery of management information, reporting and systems support within the Directorate of Development and Alumni Relations. Using a variety of reporting tools, the post-holder will enable the Directorate to meet its objectives and understand progress against these objectives and will be the first point of contact on all technical issues.

You will be customer focused, with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical end users. The role requires the ability to collaborate with Faculties within Queen’s and work well with software suppliers; providing support to colleagues and helping to implement good data practices, along with developing clear documentation and guidelines to ensure reporting requirements are successfully met.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A degree with a significant computing element.
  • Proven experience in designing, building and maintaining applications with particular reference to multi-user databases.
  • Experience of creating and developing web pages using HTML, ASP linked to backend databases.
  • Experience of working in a customer support role.
  • Experience of porting data from external systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Access skill to work with multiple datasets and write complex queries.

Salary scale: £27,831 to £32,236 per annum
