Job offer in Ireland CTU Technician (Advanced Imaging) at Queen’s University Belfast
We are recruiting for a CTU Technician to assist the CTU manager in the provision of the technical services in the Advanced Imaging CTU.
The successful candidate will provide specialist technical advice and training to a wide range of both internal (QUB staff and students) and external customers, in all aspects of the advanced imaging technologies and methods used in the CTU.
They must also ensure high standards are maintained in the quality of the work produced and in maintenance and performance of equipment within the Advanced Imaging CTU, including regular calibration, day-to-day operation and interaction with suppliers to coordinate servicing and maintenance of CTU equipment.
The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences (MHLS) is globally recognised for excellence in education and research which is evident in programmes that are designed to produce the next generation of leaders. The Faculty is comprised of four schools- School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences, School of Biological Sciences, School of Nursing & Midwifery and School of Pharmacy.

The successful candidate must have:
- Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. OND/ONC and/or NVQ level4 in relevant subject (or equivalent).
- Proven, recent relevant hands-on experience in advanced microscopy techniques (e.g. confocal microscopy, multiphoton microscopy, electron microscopy)
- Well-developed understanding of relevant regulations and procedures including Health and Safety requirements.
- Skills in managing budgets/resources

Salary scale: £27,831 to £32,236 per annum (potential to progress to £35,210 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution).
