Post Status: Tenure Track* – 5 year contract with a view to permanency.

Salary: Appointment to be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€34,412 to €83,102 per annum]. Appointment will be made no higher than point 8, i.e. €48,572:

Post Summary

The assistant professorship in financial services and capital markets law is a full-time position. Applications are welcome from legal scholars with research interests in this field and related areas, such as fintech and corporate finance. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the School’s research group on corporate law, governance and capital markets. She or he will teach modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and supervise students at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level. In particular, the candidate will contribute to teaching on the MSc in Law and Finance and the LLM in International and European Business Law. The candidate is also required to have the ability to contribute to the teaching of compulsory undergraduate modules that are pre-requisites for students who wish to seek admission to the professional stage of legal education in Ireland and to be willing to deliver undergraduate teaching in Insolvency Law. She or he will also be required to carry out administrative duties and to be active in seeking research funding.
