The post holder will co-ordinate the front line support for the institutional Virtual Learning Environment. The role will develop close relationships with Instructure Customer Support Services and triage further support calls from staff and students across the University that relate to the wider VLE Ecosystem as advised, prioritising, responding and escalating to appropriate expertise when necessary.
The post holder will provide regular reporting on 1st line support activity working with Instructure and provide reports on academic and student engagement with the VLE Canvas. They will also offer the highest quality of customer service to those requesting support, whilst actively building engagement among the community of users and communicating to them updates that relate to the VLE and its associated TEL tools.
Main duties of the role include:
Proactive support of the University’s virtual learning platform(s) and ancillary services
Liaise with Partnership Teams to shape training such as to respond to trends and alleviate support demands going forwards
Communications and engagement regarding VLE infrastructure and Hub support services
Provide communication regarding support demands, trends and updates for the TEL Hub and its key stakeholders
TEL/AMD research and horizon scanning
Full time starting salary is normally in the range £26,052 to £28,452. With potential progression once in post to £32,004 a year.
