This post is offered on either salary Grade D (£18,777 – £21,585) or Grade E (£21,585 – £23,557 per annum) dependent upon the criteria as set out in the attached Job Descriptions and Person Specifications.
We are looking for a technician to assist with the provision of high quality teaching and research within our School. You will have the opportunity to gain experience and training in a wide variety of chemistry and biology based subjects. Initially emphasis will be on techniques such as HPLC, Spectrophotometry, Molecular Biology & Aseptic Techniques. Duties will include assisting other technicians in the provision of services to teaching and research laboratories, general cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment and helping with stock control. You will possess a good standard of general education with proven experience, ideally in a HE environment, and be qualified to NVQ 3, ONC/OND, B/Tec certificate or equivalent in a relevant subject.

There is a requirement for the postholder to work outside normal office hours dependent on the needs of the business.
