The University seeks to appoint a Teaching and Learning Services Manager to lead the administration of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes in the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED).

The Teaching and Learning Services Manager is a key member of the PSS Senior Leadership Team (SLT) within SEED and forms part of the senior management team within Teaching, Learning and Doctoral Services (TLDS), managing and overseeing the delivery of taught education. You will coordinate and think creatively about the suite of taught programmes (both UG and PGT), ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders receive the highest levels of service and line-manage a team of staff in pursuit of that objective. You will also work with senior academic and PSS staff to contribute to ongoing the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the School’s T&L strategy, policies and procedures.

You will have a degree or extensive relevant experience in higher education with a significant knowledge and understanding of key policies and processes in the areas of Teaching and Learning and the Student Experience. You will have experience of managing and developing a team of staff within a student-facing environment and be willing and able to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries.

This position is available for a period of 9 months, fixed term, to coincide with a period of maternity leave. The role is available as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates with the permission of your current line manager.
