About the role:
The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision includes Early Childhood studies, Primary Education Studies and Education Studies. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience. We have internationally excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our faculty. We’re seeking an experienced education practitioner to join colleagues in our Education department and further develop our undergraduate provision. You’ll lead the BA Early Childhood Studies course and teach on this and on Primary Education Studies.
You’ll have a Higher degree and a PhD or Professional Doctorate and will have experience of teaching successfully at Higher Education level or of leading continuing professional development in education. You’ll also be an experienced educational practitioner and be expected to undertake research and scholarly activity in pedagogy and/or your specialist field.
