A Senior Lecturer post in Adult Nursing has arisen to be based in Carlisle. The post is permanent and the post holder will be expected to contribute to field specific modules and the give an Adult Nursing perspective in generic modules. Additionally, the post holder will be taking the Year Coordinator’s role for Year 2 of the Adult Nursing programme. Members of the team have responsibility, along with other colleagues, for teaching, student support, practice learning, enhancing the current programme, and contributing to the new curriculum for the BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing due for revalidation in preparation for 2019. Pharmacology candidates will be particularly welcome.

The Department of Nursing, Health and Professional Practice is a diverse department consisting of a number of teams of healthcare professionals. Programmes are offered to students in the four fields of nursing, continuous professional development, midwifery, paramedic practice and primary care, as well as counselling and advanced practice. The department has a growing research profile and staff with a wide range of practice experience which informs the teaching of both profession specific and interprofessional programme content.

Expected Starting Salary: £37,706 (pro rata) with incremental progression up to £47,722 (pro rata).
