The opening of a new Business School and many other improvements in the facilities available continue to ensure a high quality learning environment at a time of increasing competition for student recruitment.
The HR Service has a central role to play at the University in facilitating and supporting managers in leading their teams and effectively managing organisational change. We have an opportunity on a fixed term basis up to end July 2019 for an experienced HR professional to join our HR Business Partner team in order to provide additional capacity in supporting a range of change projects and other HR interventions.
You will be CIPD qualified, and experienced in supporting managers to respond constructively to a broad range of employment issues. You will be outcomes focussed, and able to establish effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the University, and with our recognised trade unions. You will be comfortable with handling multiple cases in a complex environment and committed to helping managers develop their people management skills. You will have a sound working knowledge of current employment law and be able to apply this through good influencing skills, as well as a creative and solution-focused approach. You will need to be intellectually agile and curious, as well as able to keep focused on achieving core priorities.
