The Research Data Manager is a key role with in Research and Knowledge Exchange, providing data analysis, and in particular data preparation for REF, using PURE. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of the UK University Sector, in particular the areas of Research and Knowledge Exchange. They will have an excellent understanding of the use of data and systems within Universities, and also for benchmarking purposes. The successful candidate will be experienced data analyst, and will be capable of presenting reports in a user friendly format
The Research Data Manager will be the University’s expert in research systems. Systems management, functionality and development are all important parts of this role, and the successful candidate will act as a liaison point with both suppliers and end users. There is an important service role to play through proactive engagement with the academic community and professional services (in particular RKE, Libraries and Finance), and the Research Data Manager will also have experience of developing and delivering training.
This post is part of the Research Funding, REF and Impact Team, and reports to the Director of Research Strategy, Funding and Impact.
