Salary: £26,495 to £38,833 per annum, pro rata depending on skills and experience (minimum £29799 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance
Applications are invited for a part-time postdoctoral scientist to join an international research team investigating the therapeutic exploitation of IPSE, a Urogenital Parasite-Derived Host Modulatory Protein, for Bladder Hypersensitivity Syndromes in a project funded by the National Institutes of Health (USA).
You will use state-of-the-art protein expression using HEK293 cells grown in suspension and protein purification facilities including AKTA protein purification equipment, tissue culture and fluorescence microscopy.
To be considered for this role you must have a PhD (or be near to completion) in the biological sciences with relevant experience in molecular biology techniques, recombinant protein expression, protein purification, cloning and fluorescence (conventional and confocal) microscopy.
