Rotherham Education Services supply the RNN Group with temporary workers. An opportunity has arisen within our busy Additional Support team to support the operational functions relating to learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities from pre-entry to exit, providing specialist support, initiating improvements in recruitment, retention, achievement and progression of students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The key objectives for the role are to provide specific specialist support in assessing and supporting students providing a stretching and challenging experience for students; using a range of teaching and learning strategies appropriate to the needs of the students. Ensure timely assessment of needs and accurate support plans are conducted, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure early identification of support needs and to monitor and review support plans, EILPs and other available information.
The role is offered on a flexible 30 hour per week basis, initially for a 2 month period at which time the role will be reviewed.
The desirable candidate will hold:
- A specialist qualification in a relevant subject area. I.e. one that enables you to provide support to learners with specific learning difficulties.
- Previous EHCP and review processes knowledge an advantage.
- Good IT skills specifically Microsoft office.
- English & Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
