The Mutuality in Business Research Project is a joint research project between the Saïd Business School and the Catalyst think tank at Mars, Incorporated and was established in the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in June 2014. The partnership focuses on the development of a business management theory for the Economics of Mutuality with corresponding teaching curriculum, new management practices and case study research. The Mutuality in Business Research Project is seeking an outstanding Postdoctoral Researcher to lead both desk-based research and fieldwork on corporate responsibility, inclusive business practices and business model innovation in both developed and emerging markets. It would be advantageous for candidates to have management expertise, specifically an interest in supply chain management, particularly cocoa, or micro-distribution. The role will involve the conduct of literature reviews and qualitative and/or quantitative data collection and analysis. The expected research output will involve participation at workshops and academic forums, writing articles, together with teaching contributions exploring a discrete area within the programme which focuses on the concept of mutuality in business.
Applicants should hold, or be working towards, a PhD/DPhil in economics, management studies or another related field, together with having relevant research experience. You will need to demonstrate original thinking and that you are a self-starter with the ability to successfully manage your own activities and relationships with multiple stakeholders from different academic and business backgrounds. Applicants should ensure that they provide evidence of their passion for the area, their past research accomplishments and their ability to communicate in writing with a variety of audiences.
This is a fixed-term position until 30 September 2018.
