About the role

You will be working across two departments of the Institute for Education – a place where students, academics, Bath Spa teachers, classroom teachers, education practitioners and all who are interested in education come together in a community of research and practice.

The Department of Postgraduate Programmes offers taught courses which are flexible and modular, with specialist pathways and opportunities for students to engage in practitioner research.

You will be asked to work within the existing Counselling and Psychotherapy course at Masters level and also have a role in developing new modules in this area and more broadly in the field of education. We’ll also support you in maintaining a strong research and publication profile, enable you to build internal and external networks and require you to seek access to external funding.

About you (requirements)

For this position we need you to be flexible team player, open to new ideas and interested in new challenges. You will be someone who shares our values and commitment to social justice and student-centred teaching and learning. You will have a first and higher degree or be working towards higher qualifications. You will also have specialist knowledge and offer expertise in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.
