Following the award of two successful ERC grants, an exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a part-time ERC Projects Officer to join the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS). Founded in 1972, CSLS is known nationally and internationally for its innovative and original research and publications. The Centre is within the Faculty of Law and has strong links to other departments and institutes in the University of Oxford and beyond.
You will be reporting to the Centre Administrator and working closing with the two ERC lead researchers (PI’s). You will provide financial support for the projects, ensuring full compliance with funding body regulations, monitoring expenditure, and processing of expense claims. Other duties will include general support to organise workshops and conferences; coordinate data collectors in 14 countries; maintenance of the project websites, and general project administration. In addition, there will be opportunities to support specific projects or events within the Centre’s general administration, for which overtime payments will be made.
You should be qualified to GCSE standard or equivalent and have excellent communication skills (written and oral). Experience of financial or grant administration with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are required. You should be a highly competent IT user, along with experience of making complex travel arrangement and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Managing European Union (EU) grant budgets and knowledge of University systems would be desirable.
The post is part-time (60% FTE) and will run until 30 September 2021. Further funding at a reduced FTE will be available for ConflictNet until 31 July 2022.
