Project title: Data, Diversity and Inequality in the Creative Industries
Data, Diversity and Inequality in the Creative Industries, an AHRC-funded project based at the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, and York, is recruiting four, six-month Creative Economy Engagement Fellows to start in January 2018. The project aims to explore data about creative industry workers and audiences in order to understand patterns (for example of diversity and inequality) within the sector. In so doing, it will facilitate reflection within partner institutions on how they can make better use of data, and support them in developing the skills and understanding to adapt themselves to conditions of datafication, and to contribute to combatting inequality. The Creative Economy Engagement Fellows will each work with one partner organization to devise and implement data exploration that is relevant to partners, with supervision and training from the proposing team.
This role will be based at the School of Media and Communication, University of Leeds. There are two more opportunities for Creative Economy Engagement Fellows to work with our partner organisations to devise and implement data exploration, available at:
- Digital Creativity Labs, University of York;
- Sheffield Methods Institute and the Digital Society Network at the University of Sheffield.
You will work in partnership with organizations in the creative economy and will spend a considerable amount of time in those organizations.

Due to funding limitations an appointment cannot be made above £32,548 p.a.
