This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student Community Partnership (SCP), based in the Students’ Union. Allowing an opportunity to work with all of the organisations in the partnership. The partnership is between the University of Bath, Bath Spa University, their Students’ Unions, and B&NES Council.
The post holder will provide co-ordination of the SCP strategy and contribute to the overall success of SCP. You will be required to ensure the smooth running of a variety of projects and campaigns, maintaining positive relationships between the student residents and the wider community in Bath. You will maintain and manage a complaint system whereby student/community issues can be addressed promptly, utilising appropriate conflict resolution measures.
The role requires a dynamic and motivated individual who works well in pressured situations and has excellent time management skills.
On a daily basis you will need to communicate with students in order to provide them with the information required when living off campus to enhance their University experience and the Universities’ reputations with the wider community. You will also be required to work extensively with all organisations in the partnership and other key community groups such as residents associations.
With degree level education, or equivalent professional experience, and previous or current experience in a similar role, the successful candidate will have an awareness of current issues in Higher Education and the Universities. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and have experience of dealing directly with the public. Knowledge of social media and updating webpages is also desirable.
Some weekend/out of office hours may be required to facilitate events.
