We seek and experienced administrator to provide high-level support to the Education and Quality function within the College.
They will advise the College Education Support and Quality Officer and Head of Operations – Education & Quality on policy and procedural matters relevant to their role and be expected to work effectively and capably with professional and academic colleagues throughout the University.
The ideal candidate will act as a key contact and link between the School and other College and University support services and ensure that the appropriate academic and professional services staff are kept fully informed regarding changes and updates in practice and policy relating but not limited to matters such as Tier 4 compliance, programme and module updates and other education matters.
They will be expected to develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative and organisational support for the Education Support and Quality function and build effective networks and relationships with external and internal contacts.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to deal effectively with professional and academic colleagues.
They should have significant current experience of working within a busy multifunctional environment within HE education administration and be able to prioritise workloads to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
Strong IT skills, including word-processing, databases and spreadsheets is required. Experience and a good working knowledge of large-scale data management systems, such as BOXI, or be sufficiently IT-literate (to a high standard) to be able to acquire such knowledge quickly and using her/his own initiative which can be applied to the role is essential.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to work flexibly responding to changing business needs and changes to external legislation and a high degree of resourcefulness e.g. the ability to transfer existing knowledge to new situations to formulate a solution to a problem
