This exciting opportunity exists for a committed and passionate Assistant Lecturer -Associate Nurse, to join the Prequalifying Healthcare Practice Department in the School of Nursing & Midwifery. You will be expected to support trainee Nursing Associates and mentors across a wide variety of placement areas, working with our local partners.  This role will also involve teaching and you will be a Personal Tutor. Previous experience of supporting students in the clinical setting is essential. This is an ideal post for those who are interested in working in higher education.

You must hold at least a first degree in a health related subject and demonstrate on-going personal and professional development and appropriate study around relevant subject matter. Applicants must also hold current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (Part 1). Successful applicants would be offered a place on the University’s highly regarded Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education Programme.

Opportunity for secondment will be considered, will need agreement from employer as part of application process.
