The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Administrative Assistant to assist in supporting all aspects of supporting the staff and students.
The advertised post is to work in a team alongside other members of staff working across different grades. All members of this busy team are required to provide a flexible, responsive and professional service to support the needs of the business.
Under the direction of the Senior/Programme Administrator and as a member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient administrative support service within the Faculty, including programmes and quality administration and student support, as required.
Working across the full range of programmes offered within the academic portfolio, you will work collaboratively in a cross-team approach to deliver an effective and flexible support service.
You may have line management responsibility for other members of the team.

You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, whether collaborating with colleagues or supporting students. You will be comfortable working as part of a team as this is an integral part of the role.
You will be able to follow complex instructions and think logically, being able to identify problems and proactively work towards possible solutions.
You will be experienced in the use of IT systems, including databases and spreadsheets and have good keyboard skills. You will have a good level of accuracy and attention to detail.

This is a part-time contract working 29.6 hours per week on a permanent basis.
