About the role

The College of Liberal Arts is looking for an Administration Coordinator who will become an active member of the Administration Management team, contributing to the development of plans and actions and taking responsibility for the delivery of administrative requirements.

The College administration is shared between two teams, each managed by an Administration Coordinator.

The role holder will coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of administrative support to the fields of Writing & Performance and the Digital Academy, whilst balancing the needs and the requirements of the wider College and University community.

The Administration Coordinator will be responsible for line management and supervision of a team of administrative staff, including recruitment, induction, probation, managing performance and conducting annual Staff Development Reviews.

The Administration Coordinator will lead their team to understand, document and deliver high quality and professional administrative services to staff and students, allocating resources and responsibilities across the team, whilst encouraging and contributing to continuous improvement.

The role holder will also be expected to coordinate the quality management functions within their Fields of responsibility, identifying and undertaking projects and research related to the quality assurance functions of the College.

The successful candidate will provide timely advice and advisory support to academic and academic related staff in the management and improvement of academic quality and standards across the College of Liberal Arts.
