The School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure (EMI) Engineering aims to build a world-class Manufacturing and Industrial Systems Engineering group based in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. This group has an incredible opportunity to take a lead role in providing cutting edge research and delivering exciting education programs to enable Australian and regional manufacturing to thrive into the future.

To contribute to these bold plans, we have two newly created roles for Lecturers/Senior Lecturers in Manufacturing and Industrial Systems Engineering. We are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the critical areas of industrial systems, materials, process, information systems and industrial operations management.

You will have a strong research track record and experience in the development of industry-relevant education programs. You will naturally contribute to interdisciplinary research within the University and establish or strengthen collaborations with outside organisations.

  • You will have a background in Industrial systems Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proven ability to develop high quality learning experiences and assessment tools across a broad range of subjects, including the capacity to develop and deliver seminars and lectures and other teaching activities.
  • Take a leading role in the department to actively foster and participate in industry liaison activities consistent.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with industry, government, research groups, diverse student cohort and a variety of other stakeholders.
